At least Luffy got his freaking ass beaten throughout Marineford until Egghead. Meanwhile I waited for every fight until a villain actually throws a good punch at Naruto which practically only happens on the rarest occasions. :suresure:
At least Part 1 Naruto (the character) had interesting battles. Shippuden Naruto's only good fight is Pain.

I like many MCs. They're never my favorite. Some rare times they are but not usually. But the point is I rarely dislike them. Luffy is far from my favorite, but it's still a great character I'm fond of.

I do dislike some like Deku, Asta and perhaps Natsu.

Probably most MCs in fiction. Everyone is either beta or too much stereotype more than required alpha or requires validation from society or has more than necessary drama issues to make character look like 'complex' or too much of a cowards or too much kind or perfect.

Sakura and Chio vs Sasori.
Sasuke vs Orochimaru.
Sasuke vs Deidara.
Sasuke vs Itachi.
Jiraya vs Pain.
Naruto vs Pain.
Madara and Obito vs Everyone.

You proved his point. Those are all Sasuke fights, Naruto got carried hard in Shippuden. Dude came out the timeskip weaker lmfao.

Where every character sucks Naruto d like luffy d is being sucked. Each character had their own arcs and time to shine

I would put Luffy above Naruto as an MC, Luffy's stupidity generally comes off as funny and simply from not caring, while Naruto's activity comes off as annoying and a way for the author to add things making Naruto look worse. (Like the whole Wind Nature Training). Naruto is really proactive in anything mostly being dropped in to things.
