I really doubt it.

The moment he gave Crydo 10 panels of backstory after four fucking years it was over for every character not named Shanks/Teach.

10 panels? I wish it was 10, Kaido's backstory was only 4 panels.

Oda doesn’t give a fuck about Crydo, he simply doesn’t like him
Kaido is the perfect character to set up as a stepping stone for Luffy, Oda hyped his strength as much as possible but throughout 150 chapters we still know jack shit about him, not because Oda is too lazy, but because he wrote him specifically that way, a strong cave man devoid of any form of characterization.

Mihawk from a single chapter in East Blue has more characterization than Crydo

We know
-he has beef with the world gouverment
-Was part of a very powerful crew
-likes fight and destruction
-respects strong ones like wb and oden
-waiting for joy boy
