At this point many wouldn't be surprised if adv CoC could be used to create barrier bubbles around your feet/body and simply walk on water

Again, it has nothing to do with him being special or not. If Mihawk isn’t on the WG’s side in the final war then he is not the world’s strongest swordsman because he’s not Zoro’s final opponent but someone else which personally I don’t mind but you guys seem to not accept it so this is the only other scenario.
And no Zoro having his final fight for WSS be an epilogue friendly match with Mihawk isn’t as impactful as being the final fight to usher in the dawn of the world.
You have to remember that Mihawk as a character doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter if he’s stronger than Shanks or not and it doesn’t matter if his title is legitimate or not, because the main deciding factor here is Zoro. Mihawk was created as a goal post for Zoro and Zoro’s goal would be meaningless if he is not stronger than every other swordsman out there including Roger and Ryuma

I agree with you but this is literally the perfect chance for Mihawk to be tied into the main plot
So far he's sat in the corner of the world AFK for the entire story while other big players made moves
Don't you think this would be better for his character and his fans?
A member of his family could've descended to the "human" world hundreds of years ago

Im also a fan but i prefer if Oda can come up with something more interesting/not mainstream.
We can see his past, how he ended up getting on top, his struggle and failures e.g challening Roger while he was a rookie and things like that. I think it doesnt fit his character to be from a special family

Again, if you need to see someone swimming to know they don’t have a DF and you can’t tell just from reading the fucking story, you really need somebody else holding your hand through every single chapter who can point out basic contextual inferences and patterns Oda has established over the decades
