Mihawk's case:

Mihawk, who has no respect for Krieg (a fodder) and chased him down to east blue, let him go as he enjoyed himself enough with Zoro. Not even fighting back as Krieg opened fire at him. After clashing with Vista for a brief moment - a WB top commander and fellow swordsman he respects, he offered postponement. Why? Because in the war, they clashed out of different motives and that fight would be without honor. A short clash in which both were casually crossing their blades without named attacks or Haki, in which Mihawk allowed himself to be distracted by Luffy and having inner dialogues, while not being overpowered by said WB top commander.

Big Mom's case:

Meanwhile we have Big Mom, bloodlusted and enhanced by her homie, clashing with a casual Marco who k.o.'s her homie, grabbing Marco's neck in the process and waiting for her son who she tag teamed with, to attack Marco, dropping him afterwards and running away, saying that he can come back once she gathered the necessary souls to weaponize them for the fight. With Marco having a casual talk with Carrot and Wanda and agreeing to chase Big Mom with no sense of danger.

Who looked dumber here? Is the "Posthawk" argument buried now?

That wasn't the reason mihawk and Vista stopped. They were start blowing up where Mihawk and Vista was.

Not like either Vista nor Mihawk would be affected by the Marine's blowing up things. Both could've gone all out, until Mihawk would've overpowered Vista. But Mihawk felt no urge to do so.

Now that Big Mom looked silly and postponed, people start damage controlling. "plot, context". Where was this enthusiasm when Mihawk postponed in the first place?

key differences
mihawk and vista mutually agreed wasnt worth it .
mihawk was looking away at luffy for a good portion of the clash.

big mom asked perospero to involve himself in her battle with marco (2v1)
he hurt prometheus
when perospero got taken down by carrot , mama seems afraid
realising she doesnt have pero on her side , she ask marco to postpone their battle if he wants to kill her cause she does not have souls to take him on atm.
marco prob chases after her cause his role is to keep her away from the alliance's goal( taking down kaido).

yankers would say its just plot now that a yonko is doing it but the double standards have stunk have years and will keep stinking
prepare for more cause everything will be done to not get big mom involved in this battle and she would look very underwhelming.

They literally told them to come back. Thats why you see all the Warlords back later. They were initiating a trap. Seriously do people even pay attention to the story
