you should not think about "sides" here anyways. individuals should receive warning and repercussions, not the entire community.
if someone acts up, deal with them. do not lock threads and make the experience worse for others just because some can not behave.

yes 1 or 2 people starts a dispute but it doesn't remain among only them it grows like wild fire

mods can't be always there so they can't always stop things from spreading

temporarily locking a thread and sorting through it is still preferable to indefinitely locking it.
and unless you are very new to this forum its normally quite easy to spot who causes trouble and who does not.

that is exactly what should not be necessary. its more work for them and more work for users.

If this has to do with versus thread then i do think User needs self exercise in their posting style , Frankly most of VS battle discussion are BS so mods are actually are way too kind than the other forums . Try Narutoforum you wont last a day with their mods thread banning every other day in ohara library .
