The Red Haired Rat Will Die.

If Monet gets one vote, it's from me

If Monet gets no votes, I'm dead

Hope y'all have been remembering to vote!
Lmfao this is absolutely amazing. Your wife did an amazing job parodying this, incredible talent.

Monet will return one day somehow, or I'm gonna make Yuki-onnas haunt Oda forever.

Alright, gang, enough playing around. We're at the midterms for the WT100 and Monet's only at 77th, one rank below where she ended last time!

This time we're not playing for a spot on a mural, we're going for bespoke art! Top 50 gets new cards in the TCG, Top 30 gets a new outfit and merch, and Top 15 get to be eyecatches in the anime!

We want to see our girl as much as possible, don't we?! I know I want to see what new clothes Oda has in mind for her!

So let me hear some brainstorming, how are we gonna rocket her to the top of the chain?!

What are some new snow attacks and techniques you can see Monet do and use with her Yuki Yuki no mi?

Also what your ideas, theories and headcanons about her interactions with her little sister Sugar, as well as with the rest of the Donquixote family?

Who do you think she is closest with?

Snow Attacks:

I could see her creating multiple snowmen to limit enemy visibility and mobility while also creating multiple points she could be hiding. Functionally, she can already do that with Blizzard and her ability to dive into her snow once she's laid down a sufficient field of it, but there may be situations where having stagnant statues is more useful than a whirlwind

She could also do a variant on Snow Rabbits where she hides objects inside the snowballs, either for the sake of dealing extra damage with rocks/hail, or to discreetly pass a MacGuffin to a teammate

Combining both ideas, objects or traps could be hidden within the snowmen as well if she's teamed up with someone who specializes in that sort of thing, like Usopp if she joins the Straw Hats or Gladius if she ever fought with the Donquixote Pirates

Speaking of teaming up with the Straw Hats, creating a snowfield might also be good for fighting enemies like Van Augur who can warp around, as it could make a relatively quiet space where sudden shifts like his Warp Warp Fruit would make a lot of noise and give away his position

Monet's fighting style lends itself really well to a support role, creating obstacles, low visibility, and low mobility for enemies to create a tactical advantage for allies. I'm sure she could lean into a more offensive role and make various constructs the way other Logia users do, like enlarged snowflake shuriken, but finding ways to specifically synergize with others seems more her style

Relationships:

I've talked at length before on my headcanons about her interactions with the Donquixote Family over on twitter (link), but to sum up my favorites, I think she got along well with Gladius since he values punctuality and probably never saw his short-tempered side as a result, may have secretly doted on Baby 5 and Dellinger in opposition to Giolla's overbearing and almost controlling parenting style, and actively shut down the quirks of the commanders

The younger members probably looked up to her as the cool older sister or aunt type, while the older ones may have seen her as emotionally cold due to her capacity to hide her emotions. Doflamingo probably helped mitigate any tensions by revealing her weakness to compliments, though, showing the rest of the team how to thaw her out if she ever acted too frigid

As for Sugar specifically, I've always felt that Monet probably took on infiltration roles as a way of avoiding her, most likely out of shame for whatever happened in their past. I think they care about each other deeply, but their relationship and ability to interact was greatly impacted by their circumstances. I believe that Monet's fixation on the Punk Hazard children was born out of a complex towards Sugar and the childhood that she lost, her way of vicariously feeling like she's "doing it right this time" while also ironically avoiding the core of her problem. I'd love to say that the two of them get along great, but honestly I think that their dynamic is nuanced and messy

It would have been helpful if Oda had shown us Sugar's reaction to learning about Monet's supposed death, but I also think the fact that he didn't tells us a lot in and of itself. Doflamingo probably didn't tell Sugar deliberately because her reaction could have impacted her work, either because it would have left her despondent or put her on a murderous rage. We may never know for sure, but her apparent lack of knowledge suggests that she would have felt something akin to grief at the very least
