He would genuinely watch Khalifa beat Nami or Robin to death and won't react. His fight with Maria is a confirmation that he wouldn't act.
He is so fast he could swipe both Robin and Nami out of the harm's way but he excuses it that his Haki might hurt a woman even if he's only defending himself
Ode overdid this moral code of his, he should always keep it but put the safety of the crew in front of it.

Thats complete BS. If he would see Robin or Nami get beat up by a woman he would stil jump in front of them and take the hits for them - he wouldn’t just stand there and watch…where do you get this nonsense from?
And yes logicaly Sanji could dodge and save people with his speed no problem, it’s just that Oda sucks at writing consistently…
I feel terrible for anyone that stans him… I don’t hate Sanji but his perverted lover boy act is retarded and Oda needs to stop slandering him like this.
Sanji should’ve been singled out by Vegapunk. He’s the other wing for Luffy, one of his most valued men next to Zoro, most trusted combat crewmate next to Zoro, and the literal son of Vegapunk’s old peer who helped him discover lineage factor.
This chapter made me really realize just how much of a burden Sanji is. What’s the point of having somone so strong be utterly useless against every female antagonist. He can’t hurt more than half the planet if you think about it.
I know it’s a gag/joke butJinbei deserves to be in the Monster Trio over Sanji. Someone with such a lily backwards mentality isn’t fit for the frontlines. Yamato should’ve joined as well.
Like on the real if you’re gonna have him stick to his stupid exaggerated chivalry the least you could do is portray him seriously.

Matter of fact only Zoro and Robin had any type of realistic or logical reaction. This is a newly dubbed Yonko crew that just almost drowned casually and for whatever reason moronic cowards like Usopp start fanboying and saying he wants to show Luffy and Chopper who’s fates are unknown to him.
Nami still crying and showing a lack faith in her crew, why was her first instinct to cower behind Robin??
(Franky is excused because he has already proven he is fearless so he has room to gawk and awe)
@Egghead Honestly After Wano I don’t see how people can still make post like this. It’s a waste of time cause We know how Oda portrays Sanji when it’s time to fight.

Remember the time someone told you to change who you are and you did?
Shit like that doesn't happen in the real world, except for certain stages in a person life. You don't just flip a switch, and become a different person.
Not sure why you expect Oda to do that with one of his characters, as it is completely unrealistic. It's not how the world functions.

the gag itself is fairly unrealistic
tolerance to the gag is also unrealistic , anyone who acts like this irl would and will deservedly be outted as a creep.

I dont know the kind of individuals around you personally but people actually do grow and evolve
and in good stories, characters do too , its called learning.
just cause oda insist on the gag doesnt mean you have to act like this is done in favor of realism. lmao what a joke.

It doesn't matter if the gag is unrealistic, as it is the personality trait Oda designed for the character.
And I never said people don't change. I specifically said it does happen at certain periods of people's lives. But that shit does not happen over night. You know that. I know that. Everyone knows that. Personal growth takes time.
When you turned 18, you didn't just magically mature into an adult, even though society deems that as the age one is considered one.
I think people forget that Sanji is only 21, and I can guarantee you that even at that age, you're still hanging on to your personality from when you were still in your late teens.
You mature over time as you grow older and experience life

well it isnt overnight ....
its also something that became more apparent when the timeskip started
it is easy to forget sanji is 21 cause the experiences the strawhats have accumulated realistically should take decades to accumulate , even within the one piece verse yet they have done it in two. .... absolutely none of this has to do with reality .
sanji has also grown in the story asking for help when he got tied with black maria
he didn't really do that in enies lobby . that's growth so honestly using realism as an excuse for something that there isnt even an attempt to change is funny.
as far as am concerned this has nothing to do with reality , oda has specific character gags that he insist on keeping even to the annoyance of some of his fans and that's totally fine. Maybe he just thinks its funny just like yamato thinking she's oden .its fiction ; am just saying reality has absolutely nothing to do with these characters not growing from that because evidently they are capable of growing in other aspects of their character. .
