This chapter made me really realize just how much of a burden Sanji is. What’s the point of having somone so strong be utterly useless against every female antagonist. He can’t hurt more than half the planet if you think about it.
Yeah, and more than half of the planet can't hurt him either. This argument is always used while ignoring that the actual amount of powerful women in this universe is ridiculous in comparison to men, and on top of that he can deal with most powerful individuals anyways; like he can easily dodge barrages of laser beams and murder attempts from a future sight user, a superhuman will break his sword while trying to slash him, average shots will just tickle his body and he can passively hurt an almost 500 million officer of an emperor by just protecting from her punches with haki. The actual percentage here is that 99% of the planet (whether men or women) can't dream of hurting him, so who cares. And since he has friends to back him up he will get the help he needs against a woman, so...
Sanji should’ve been singled out by Vegapunk. He’s the other wing for Luffy, one of his most valued men next to Zoro, most trusted combat crewmate next to Zoro, and the literal son of Vegapunk’s old peer who helped him discover lineage factor.
This is just the usual with Sanji. He didn't have a bounty but Kaku noticed he wasn't your average guy and ended up defeating CP9's number three. Moria didn't think of him as a monster and then turned a penguin into a beast by mistake. Yonji thought he could bully him like in the old days and got negged. And Queen was smarter than everybody I just mentioned and properly gauged him as one of the strongest, but he got his ass kicked anyways.
Sanji doesn't need to be singled out; if it's required he will prove himself as the third strongest member, and that's exactly why he isn't a burden. Take him out and the Kuroobi, Mr. 2, Jabra, Queen or whoever will unbalance the fight against the Straw Hats.
(Franky is excused because he has already proven he is fearless so he has room to gawk and awe)
And, if anything, Sanji has more reasons to be fearless than Franky.
