I get the reasoning and not going to act like it’s baseless, I just don’t agree with it purely because odas yet to do a protege vs protege fight and when they were on the same island the two didn’t even share a clash, words with one another, nor was Kuzan the reason Garp stayed behind.

I know where people saying kuzan vs him coming from but I don't see the narrative yet in the story

Koby has to surpass old Garp somehow. This is the most reasonable way for him to do so.

Smoker is a more reasonable fight, he’s a very strong VA that could be an awakening or haki boost away from admiral

Ngl I see Pizarro getting one shot destroyed by Koby or another person to level the playing field and what not
Because Pizarro's just kind of an anomaly anyway, like he's the one BBP member where it's hard to imagine him having a good fight with any of the Straw Hats. And his fruit is way too annoying and op.
And him immediately getting fucked up by Koby is a good way to show Koby's growth as well

Koby is basically around DR Luffy level at best

I don’t think Pizarro is going to get destroyed prior to the fight. I think he’ll be Coby’s fight, because imo it fits best.

Pizarros the one in charge of the slave camps and Coby is the kinda guy to focus on saving those wrongly captured there. Plus by taking down Pizarro, he gets a direct comparison with old Garp who’s strongest attack nearly cracked the skull, Coby feels like he’ll end up doing more to finish that fight. Plus it’s a common trope, “Hero vs Corrupt King”

I think that’s more odas route, while the straw hats fight the Blackbeard pirates, Coby will be attacking Pirate Island and destroying it.

But I feel like it'll be a God Valley parallel, and if Koby's supposed to be the new Garp, then I can't imagine him not having a very significant role in the BBP falling. I can't see him simply having Pizarro as his main fight there.

We’ll have to see how Oda grows Coby’s power. But as of right now, that’s just too severe a leap without much time.
