It was stated that Vegapunk’s inventions made the shichibukai obsolete.

While most people took this to mean the seraphim, they aren’t the only weapons VP made.

While the seraphim are strong, they are nowhere as strong as Mihawk. Zoro even confirmed this.

imo, Mihawk was replaced not by the seraphim, but rather by Mother Flame. Only such a weapon could replace a top tier imo.

Maybe but you have to look at it in terms of a group. All Seras are stronger than their Warlords counterparts except Mihawk because of King's DNA. Maybe Crocodile is stronger than his Sera counterpart due to Logia and possible bypassing of Lunarian abilities by Croc's Logia. And these Seras are just children with an accelerated growth rate so they are bound to be the strongest soon. Seeing how they are called humans and how Stussy herself can use haki (CP0 Rokushiki user) we can expect the adult Seras to be absolute monsters (although while Stussy seems free willed the Seras are under control and their haki is still an unknown at this time).
