Has anyone else watched this show? I binged the first season right on time to start s2 and it's been a great watch this version of superman is the best I've seen, especially when it comes to animation It most captures the good two shoes boy scout super man was always described has, I like how it gives him a range of emotion and personality. Unlike the justice league super man who felt more like a reskinned batman. I like this rendition of Lois Lane more two she's spunky, and clever and the side plot she has with her dad is pretty interesting.

With supergirl introduced in the latest episodes with an android 18esq design this show is peak

I'm not really a Superman fan, and I was kinda pissed when they added this show to Toonami, but I'm so HOOKED on it! I like neurotic Superman and his dorky friends! The voice acting is great, and several of the villains were very good. I'm kinda lost on the Supergirl stuff right now bc I don't know much of the lore, but I'm digging it.

Right! I didn't expect much from it just another over powered superman show but this series does a great job focusing on the Clark Kent side of things shows even tho he's an alien he's more human than most of us

I haven't bothered with this yet nor the Isekai, but I see most people praise it.

I used to read most comics published by DC. Biggest Superman fanboy and very big DC fanboy in general, for a couple decades I used to read from the most mainstream stuff to some of the most obscure stuff they published. It sounds nerdy as hell but I am nonetheless proud-ish of how much I know about the characters and storylines. I finally lost my interest for following the comics (except for some events) after the Rebirth soft-reboot; atrocious handling of the storylines they did there (not like it was a first for them anyway). The LA movies, too, haven't exactly been good for the most part (The Suicide Squad movie and the Peacemaker series were enjoyable and highly recommended recent exceptions).

I'm glad to hear they focused on Clark Kent and his humanity for this show, that's always been the core of his character, even if being an overpowered alien is still a vital part of him. Both him and Batman and their morality is often misrepresented. However, between the teenager anime aesthetics and the raceswaps of most of the supporting cast, this show is definitely not for me.

That being said, I am at least happy people are enjoying Superman content that highlights his greater qualities.

Brainiac is an amazing villain tho I'm not a big fan on how they represent Lex Luthor here I prefer the charismatic dick that is the justice league unlimited Lex Luthor this new version doesn't give me the big boss vibes the justice league one did
