1. Dog Dog Fruit, Model: Cerberus

Alright so this one isn’t a novel idea because there was a popular theory about this being Blackbeard’s third Devil Fruit, but at least as of right now there seems to be no sign of this coming true.

However I actually think there is now a unique opportunity to introduce this fruit into the story with the Gorosei and Imu being revealed to be demonic figures. You see there’s this beautiful trend in manga that Berserk started and Oda seems to be incorporating that Gods and Demons are essentially the same thing. They have different aesthetics but are otherwise just astronomically powerful beings exploiting humanity for their own gains.

Oda has incorporated this by introducing the idea that the Holy Land, the top of the One Piece world where the Gods live, is in actuality a hellacious place ran by demons and devils. This seems to be what 1085 is implying at least with all of the demonic imagery in the Holy Land.

So Cerberus in Greek Mythology is a guard dog of the Underworld who prevents the spirits of the dead from leaving. So with Oda introducing the idea of a “hell” in One Piece, the idea of a character who possesses the Cerberus fruit could now be back on the table. But who would possess such a fruit?

Well this character would have to be a guardian of the Holy Land, and probably a high ranking guardian. Who could such a character be?

Well obviously I’m going to go hardcore History Channel “Aliens” with this one but fuck it. This is what I would do:

I would give the Cerberus fruit to the Captain of the Holy Knights:
Now I know I just lost half the readers of this thread so fuck it, let’s go all-in on this. Lol

So imo the best thing Oda could do with Shanks is to hardcore subvert expectations and make him evil. There’s just no way Oda can write Shanks as a good character that will end up being memorable or satisfying, so give us Captain Holy Knight Shanks who is the chief guardian of the Celestial Dragons and is a Celestial Dragon himself.

There is really still no guarantee that Holy Knight Shanks himself doesn’t have a Devil Fruit, we know he probably didn’t have one 13 years ago, but 13 years is a long time especially for a Yonko who can easily locate powerful Devil Fruits should he choose.

If I was Oda, evil Holy Knight Cerberus Shanks would be accomplished

Do you think it is possible that maybe Loki has the Jormungandr devil fruit? I know most are going with Fenrir, but what about Jormungandr?
Yeah I’m definitely ditching the clown Rox, Loki is a far better candidate.

If there was ever anybody the Jormangundr fruit fit with, it is Loki. A Nordic themed character who wants to destroy the world…yeah, it would seem like it has to be Loki to me. The only reason I’m not sure about it is because Loki claimed he was the Sun God? But then again King thought Kaido was Joyboy so who’s to say Loki’s fruit has to bear any resemblance to Nika at all.

GB's fruit could be "forest god" mythical zoan but mistakenly considered as a Logia just like Nika fruit mistakenly considered as Paramecia.....maybe?

Imu may have "earth god" fruit, in the 2nd world/war mural depiction, he looked like "earth god" drawn in the 1st world/war
Could be wrong since again he only looked similar, but the Gorosei are named after planets, and Garling being the moon.

Also the "forest god" was mentioned to be able to share powers ( devil fruits ),
Imu seems able to share ( devilish ) powers as well, to Gorosei and Shamrock,
So again maybe Imu has the "earth god"

What up bitches

Mythical Zoan fruits are just so fucking cool.

Undoubtedly my favorite Devil Fruit type, and honestly that’s probably a bandwagon statement at this point. I still think Logia will end up being the strongest Devil fruit type as Oda has told us but the Mythical Zoan fruits are definitely the ones with the most cool factors among them imo. I think Oda seems to agree with this since he gave his protagonist a Mythical Zoan and now the Gorosei and Imu are seemingly mythical Zoans themselves.

So in this thread I wanted to bring up three mythical Zoan concepts that I hope Oda explores in one way or another before the end of the series. I also wanted to explain how these could be incorporated into the overall plot of One Piece rather than just being like “hey wouldn’t these fruits be kewl?” Anyway. Let’s do this.

1. Dog Dog Fruit, Model: Cerberus

2. Human Human Fruit, Model: Atlas

This one would be some OP shit. In Greek mythology, Atlas is a Titan who holds up the world. Obviously Oda incorporating a fruit like this would immediately make for one of the most powerful fruits in the story. But who could bare a fruit like this?

Well, it would have to be a character who themselves was one who “holds up the world,” even if it is in a metaphorical sense.

And I can’t think of a more qualified candidate for a fruit like this than the King of the Ancient Kingdom 800 years ago. Now I know a lot of people thought of Joyboy as the King of the Ancient Kingdom, but I’m still not convinced that Shitfairy’s 800 year old progenitor was a politician or a kingly figure. Joyboy is treated/spoken of as a liberator which doesn’t exactly sound like a King to me, even if it was a King of the Ancient Kingdom.

Given how the Ancient Kingdom is such a core element of the One Piece world, I think if Oda were to incorporate a fruit like this one, it would fit well in the hands of their king.

3. Snake Snake Fruit, Model: Jormungandr

And finally we have an entry from Norse Mythology, the serpent who is prophesied to devour the world at the end of Ragnarok only to lose its life in a battle with Thor.

So this fruit would have to belong to a character who also threatened to “end the world” but was ultimately defeated before doing so, and to me that screams:

I think this fruit would fit well in Rox hands because a giant serpentine mythical Zoan would make him conceptually similar to Kaido and we know Kaido looked up to Rox quite a bit. Anyway, not much else to say on this one.

What are some Mythical Zoan fruits that you guys would like to see in the future?

@Bogard @Blackbeard @Owl Ki @MarineHQ @TheKnightOfTheSea @God Buggy @Xione @SakazOuki @ZenZu @Seth @The White Crane @GoldDiamond @Le Fishe D. Tomdou @Sentinel @Playa4321 etc etc etc
Do you prefer mythical zoans to logias btw?

It depends on the mythical Zoan and on the logia, but overall yes I would rather eat a mythical Zoan if given the choice. We be memeing on the Gorosei but they are super cool imo.

I really hope Loki has the Jormungandr fruit would be really cool @Elder Lee Hung
Me too. It’s the perfect fruit for him.
