@AverageNamiEnjoyer, btw, I forgot to respond on topic in this thread. Why did Oda draw Nami near One Piece? I still believe that Nami is Imu related character. So you can understand why she has to be close to One Piece, because Imu`s defeat is hidden behind that treasure. But of course it could be something different, and for example, she will play the crucial role in finding the One Piece treasure.

Well, if being serious, I think that One Piece is an artificial Moon that will cause the Ethernal Eclipse. Eclipse is Xebec's sword name, and Eclipse looks like D. This is needed to turn Imu into a mortal being.
