Bruh he eventually get hit by it. Sasuke used a very costly jutsu for it and you are forgetting itachi wasn't trying to kill sasuke. Using sasuke's fight is meaningless.

The Jutsu he used was a substituion jutsu lol. And Jiraiya doesn´t have Gaaras defense, it´s just about how dealing with amaterasu shouldn´t be hard for any competent Ninja. Itachi´s trump card against any top/high tiers should be susasno, probably not anything else

Obito makes it very clear that if itachi wanted , sasuke would be dead. Itachi was pressuring sasuke enough for oro to come out.
