@nRandle @Arondight @Noyman welp we just choked a 23 point lead to the Blazers (at least the Lakers lost to them too a few days ago?)
True. I don't know if y'all are in tank mode now or still trying to make the play-in. Anfernee Simons tho was pretty good again. Interested to see what POR will do will the picks and cap space in addition to having a good 2-guard with Dame like CJ was...

the term you're looking for the define the Knicks rn is basketball purgatory :(. We need either Atlanta, Charlotte or Washington (or Brooklyn) to go on a 15+ game losing streak for us to sneak into the 10th seed at worst

also what wasn't seen by most fans that didn't root for the Knicks was that Mitchell Robinson and Cam Reddish (off an unfortunate ankle tweak and left the game, but has been solid defensively when given minutes) were important for us building a lead to begin with but both guys headed to the locker room at the start of the 4th quarter and that's when the collapse started to materialize (almost like the Lakers game last week only this time it didn't happen until 5 min to go in the game)

maybe a good thing is that next week, we play the Thunder (w/o SGA until post-ASB) and later the Nets (w/ no Kyrie since NYC Mandate basically says 'fuck you' to Kyrie and I'm also praying that Simmons doesn't debut for them that game since we're 0-18 against him ever since he came to the NBA), but then again I'm convinced this team will find another new way to lose

That is what I said about the spot y'all are in right now but I didn't know if y'all still wanted to make the playoffs or not. It's tough to see your team going past ATL & CHA but that's the only hope y'all have for this season.

Today I went to my first NBA game! I have very little basketball knowledge. (I have seen Space Jam and The Last Dance, so I was hoping that was enough to help me follow the game). My overall experience was great! The game was fast paced and exciting.

I work in Special Education. This is my third year working with a boy with Down Syndrome. He is a fourteen year old who loves basketball and plays on an after school intramural team. I help supervise the teams, and make sure the kids behave. It is a pretty easy gig. Anyways his family had an extra ticket for the Celtics vs the Eagles at The Garden, so they invited me. Our seats were box seats, which was an added bonus.

Like I said earlier, I never realized just how fast paced the sport of basketball is. The ball is constantly in motion. I swear the players cross the whole court in like three steps. Plus the players actually pass the ball to one another unlike the middle schoolers I work with. The other fun part was seeing how easily the players dunk the ball and make 3 pointers. If you want a good laugh, go watch 12-14 year olds try to make a 3 pointer. The majority of them haven't had their growth sport and have zero muscle development. So when they want to make a 3 pointer, they flling the ball with their whole bodies. Actual NBA players look more graceful and athletic when they do jump shots.

Anyways the Celtics weren't doing so well the first half of the game. Then they turned it around and made a bunch of baskets. Their defense and rebounding was also better during the second half. I was glad that they won! It was a great experience 10/10!

glad you had a great experience watching the NBA today!

Hopefully, KD takes his time to get fully healthy. Don't want to make that injury get worse again... Thanks Kyrie! (who knows when Ben will play as well)

Man, just shows you how fucked up the sports world in general is.
There are real athletes in "unpopular" sports who destroy their body for world cups and olympics just to reach the peak of their field, meanwhile multi millionaires are afraid of a needle.

WTF? Didn't KD leave GS to play iso ball? I remember it may have been in the '18 HOU-GS soundbites where Steve Kerr was telling him MJ stories to encourage him to pass the ball more 'cause he was stopping it to iso. When did he want to play like GS style again? Great hit job to Harden

KD was already super tight with Steve Nash when Nash was still the Warriors' consultant since 2014-15 (and since 2016-17 when KD signed with GS), hence why Nash was heavily endorsed for the Nets' next head coach when there was an open spot available. That 'Harden eye roll' from that piece was interesting to hear to say the very least
