They're getting Ayton and Jake Larvia in return for DFS. Which is a substantial upgrade offensively. Both can be used as Lob threats by Luka, while also being way younger than DFS. The rookie they got also looks promising, but we'll see if he's useful from the get go or not.
Lebron's already committing to the player option as stated by Rich Paul. And no team is gonna trade for him, at that amount of money he's looking for. He's just doing the normal media shit he always does. Lakers just don't give a fuck this time around cause they cooking for Luka. And even if he does demand a trade, Lakers will manage to get a solid haul for him.
This also doesn't take into account Luka-Lebron having a whole off-season to work on their 2-man game. Lebron figuring out what role he's going to play next to Luka. AR adjusting his game next to Luka's and bettering himself. Dalton can improve. Maxi returning is also a huge boost to their depth if they keep him or w.e solid piece they get from trading Maxi/Vando/Gabe or any combination of the 3.
Last but not least... Healthy Luka that's fitter than even 2024 pre-March Luka?? Yea that's BITW and easily 1-man offense... would've cooked the Wolves this year with this same Lakers squad.

Lakers are getting the best free agent available. Bill Duffy didn't get Ayton to ask for a buyout from the Blazers for nothing, clear planned out with either Luka-Duffy or Rob-Doffy. LuGM already cooking.
