Well, they sure didn't show it. All Ju Peter did was try to swallow people. Mars just did his fire beam, etc.

By OP standards, they still had a good showing. No antagonists are going to be shown killing massive amounts of fodder onscreen or legitimately threatening the SHs outside of making them run around at this point. What would you have expected from them as an "actual" show of strength?

My theory is that only their immortality is Imu-granted

Their beast forms are from Mythical Fruits they have eaten, the WG having access to such fruits. Their CoC is their own as well, they are conquerors who were chosen for having CoC to be Gorosei candidates

Yep and also he used his powers on the pacifistas.

And just because the others rely on their powers a lot, doesn’t mean they are suddenly weak.

That is why that other user comparing the Elders to Orochi was dumb because even though Orochi had powers, he never once utilized it and was never shown to be a strong fighter even with his powers.

As much as Saturn was a bum, at least he knew how to utilize his powers and could actually fight back.

We don't know the exact mechanics of Imu's powers but I'm positive it's not outright controlling them and giving them combat proficiency out of nowhere. If you give Charloss the same type of power he's not going to have the combat experience to use it properly. The Gorosei would have to be capable of wielding that type of power successfully in order for it to do anything in the first place.

See, if Warcury actually went in hybrid mode, and fought Luffy with his fists, sure, I would say he genuinely was physically powerful. But he didn't. It was all the DF.

So, yeah, in the end, despite a intimidating introduction, they're really nothing special if Imu can make anyone have the same powers.
