What if I told you there is a pirate more legendary than any other we know? More legendary than Roger, Rocks and Joyboy.
His legend is almost as old as time itself, a legend called Davy Jones.
At this point, probably everyone has acknowledged that old man Jones is going to play a big role in the present, one way or another.
As soon as he was name-dropped in Room of Flowers, between Imu and Rocks, I knew Davy Jones was the Final Villain I was looking for.
I have been saying for years that neither Imu nor Blackbeard fit the bill of the Final Villain.
While most people are probably expecting Davy's descendant Teech to end up the final villain, I think Davy Jones himself will be the FV.
But isnt Davy's soul/personality/whatever inside Blackbeard already? Probably.
Doesnt that make Blackbeard into final villain? Possible but I dont think so.
I think Blackbeard will get his own 5 minutes after he takes Imu out, the one who was trying to exterminate his clan for nearly a millennium...
...however, Davy Jones himself will take the stage as the final villain after Blackbeard falls as well.
How is this possible? Will he take over Blackbeard's body? Unlikely...
I think Blackbeard's fate was foreshadowed by Hody Jones and Hyozou who overused energy steroids like Blackbeard will do with DFs.
Blackbeard's body will not be "operational" once he loses the fight, which means Davy Jones will have to pick a
new vessel!
Just yesterday, I had the idea that Davy Jones would take over Monkey D Dragon's body and use it to play the role of the Final Villain.
The reason why I came to that conclusion was because I was wondering what Dragon's ultimate purpose is...
Is he really just another Wyper? A guy that gets to beat "god's" executive and proceeds to fail against that supposed god?
Because his purpose is certainly to fail, in order for his son, the rubber Jesus, to succeed. At least that's his purpose in the WG war.
But what after that, if WG war isnt the finale? What if...
What if, somehow, after Blackbeard's defeat, Dragon is around and the soul of Davy Jones from within Blackbeard ends up in Dragon?
This would be an amazing twist. We would get Luffy vs Davy Jones in the body of his father.
And Dragon's design is fitting that of a final villain, the guy is basically a Super Saiyan 3 and Jones would probably distort his face more.
A plot device for this already exists - our RPG delivery service, surgeon of death, Law. He can extract souls and swap between bodies.
Now, while that is a scenario I would like and enjoy, I think there is a better solution - another possible descendant of Jones himself.
The 2nd son of Rocks, Buggy-jiro!
Maybe, Rocks can only take possession of his descendants of Davy clan and Law isnt even needed here.
Somehow, he ended up inside Blackbeard.
There is very little doubt about Davy Jones's soul/personality being inside Blackbeard and this panel was foreshadowing it all this time.
All the people who complained about Buggy being a joke and irrelevant should be satisfied with this development. Or are they?
I will go a step further and say why this might be the perfect match.
The homeland of the Davy Clan is God Valley! An island with an interesting design, a split rock!
This can foreshadow many things, Rocks himself being split, due to personalities inside him, maybe Jones' soul was inside him as well.
Another thing that split rocks foreshadow could be the Devil Fruit ability of the original Davy Jones' body.
I say, old man Jones had the exact fruit that his distant descendant Buggy ended up with.
So basically, Davy Jones' soul returns to a body that carries his bloodline and possesses his original Devil Fruit!
BaraBara no Mi user is a splitting human!
OG Davy Jones used this ability to split his personality or soul or whatever to ensure his survival because, unless he obtained the eternal youth from immortality surgery, he would have been long dead but even during Long Ring Long Island it was said that Jones was still alive.
When you think about it, BaraBara no Mi is similar in many ways to OpeOpe no Mi and the things we saw from Buggy were just the basic abilities of the fruit, a complete manipulation of his own body but that is far from the full scope of abilities that DF could do.
It has never been said to be limited to just splitting his own body, he could split many other things, once Awakened.

Davy Jones may have had split his soul/personality into many fragments and left them to wander the world until they bumped into his descendants.
We know from Brook's case that the soul can wander for a whole year(at least) in search of the body and that is perhaps how Davy Jones survived until the present day where he will make Buggy The Clown into Buggy D Davy!
