The problem is that people defending Yamato have an hard time understanding her journey and the reasons behind her choices and her characterization.. I don't have that problem on the Carrot side.. in fact it might be the inverse.. I understand it a bit too much, which is leading me to say that - even if I think Carrot won't come back - she still has a tiny winny bit of chance because of a counter productive choice of characterization. Carrot stayin indefinitely on Zou don't make sence from a characterization perspective.

Wano may be over but many loose ends were left.
Zunesha was the original Joy Boy's nakama, and was cursed to continue living until the next one comes along. So Carrot ruling Mokomo Dukedom will certainly play a part in the future alongside Luffy.
Yamato stayed to keep Wano and Momo safe, and Momo is also related to Zunesha, as he is the one who can control them. So Yamato too will play a part in the future alongside Luffy.
Also, the ancient weapon Pluton is burried somewhere in Wano, and surely someone will want to take control of it soon enough.
So we're not done with Wano in the least, only taking a break.

It's not my fault Oda decided to cut off the back 1/4th of the arc and make us return later! You KNOW I wanted us to deal with Pluton without leaving Wano.

Still super happy with Egghead, but, Oda decided to gimp Wano's ending, not me.

Nah we’re done with that country. Now it’s just waiting for the Plutons owner to claim it. So Caribou is going to cause the destruction of Wano as soon as he messages whoever it was he’s contacting
