Who will be the next SH?

I can read. you been trying to compare loki joining to a pair of legs gag.
Bro.

You said since Luffy invited him, then it's confirmed that Loki will join.

I pointed out that Luffy has asked others to join before, which did not lead to new nakama, so asking alone is NOT a confirmation.

The legs got a gag invite. Guess who else got a gag invite: current SH Brook.

The invites in themselves are not definitive proof of fuckall.

This is on top of all the logistical problems deriving from having someone of Loki's size near the Sunny or indeed on future islands alongside the rest of the SHs. On top of Loki's personality, belief of being the Sun God himself, on top of his worship of Xebec, and on top of him wanting to rampage through the world.

luffy asked loki, it a real invite.

compared to yamato, carrot, pair of legs. Luffy is 100% series

Loki refused like zoro, chopper, brook, franky, etc before there reconsider and join.

it the same.

Like even loki brother is asking luffy are you sure about this. Luffy response after loki said no. was can't wait to see my new team mate fight!

1. I only brought up past invites because Naomi thinks that alone is confirmation of the candidate joining, when it's been shown that Oda likes to throw curveballs, to use redherrings, and to change the new nakama process just to blueball the fans. Case in point Carrot and Yamato both.

2. Kinemon and Tree Zombie fall into the "You're so weird, you should join my crew," type of invite. Loki currently falls into the "if nobody wants you, I'll take you," type.
You think the first is a gag invite, while the second a proper one. They are not mutually exclusive. Zoro and Chopper were once in Loki's category, but what you consider a gag invite was played straight for both Brook and Franky before, so keep the ignorant digs for your sorry self.
Some gag invites turning real later doesn't affect the Loki situation because his is already real.

Also, sorry if my earlier post came across as a dig. I mean things in a lighthearted jab kind of way here. I prefer not to waste time arguing with internet randos these days.

Luffy gave a real invitation for Yamato to join though, no?

Though, we got Jinbe in the crew? Honestly I can use a new weak member, idk what others may think.
I was onboard for this pre TS and immediately after TS

Give us more story focus characters for more lore on other aspects of the world but after a while I came to the realization that we are recruiting power houses at this point and getting the main lore of the story

At one point I was a HUGE Tashigi supporter

- Marine turned pirate

- Smoker's right hand to make him chase Luffy more viciously

- Sword knowledge to boost hype when a new one came around

- Great interactions with the crew especially Zoro

I PUSHED THIS SO HARD LMAO

I honest believe these are Luffy's Power houses

If Sanji and Jimbe get CoC I don't really care much but it'd be dope if they did

The whole thing with Loki has me conflicted

He only asked so the argument of "should we release Loki" would end but he also said that knowing full well that Loki is strong and what those 3 magic words mean in situations like that

I'll hold off on my full judgment before coming to any conclusions

"Join my crew" is not a definite "they will join", but it's a good conversation piece

But definitely not enough to lock in

No. Yamato invited herself, then changed her mind, and Luffy said she or Momo can come later if they change their minds. That's very different from "Yamato, join my crew!" I still hope she'll join, but what she got is not in the same league as this.
Well what does it matter if she invited herself first? Not every recruitment needs to be the same. Heck, Brook immediately said yes to Luffy asking him at first, and that's pretty different.

so similar to vivi in a way.
Vivi will def come back to solve the issue behind Lili's legacy. For Yamato, it would be beneficial to join since Conqueror's is needed to defeat Imu's forces. The Straw Hats need that ASAP, not for Yamato to just sit back like 911 dispatch on some fleet.

No, what matters is that she's the one who asked to join. Every time Luffy seriously invites someone like this, they join. When he casually mentions it like with Ace, or passively agrees to it like Tama and Yamato, it may or may not happen. Those characters never had a big "Join my crew!" moment. I'm honestly shocked that there's anyone who doubts he'll join after this. I was never a Loki for nakama supporter, but it's undeniable.

And Robin never had a big join my crew moment either. She basically forced herself to be in his company and convinced him to have her join after having no where else to go. Nami forced herself in Luffy's company too actually.

How would this scenario feels to you:

At the end of the arc, Loki joins as a "challenger" to Luffy (similar to Bullet joining Roger Pirates in Stampede lore and Ace joining Whitebeard Pirates, perhaps those monsters in Rocks Pirates are in the similar situation) and as long as Luffy won't get in the way of him avenging his idol Xebec...
