The lack of food is not really the issue with Carrot. The issue is, why would Carrot stay hidden from the SHs for an entire week when she's friends with them? Why would she continue to stay hidden even after the SHs reach Egghead Island?

It’s just wild that Carrot got an end to her storyline (one that honestly made more sense than Yamato’s) and we STILL have folks here pulling for her to join, y’all really wanna see this rabbit stand in the periphery of two or three panels per chapter and contribute nothing else…like, why not just convert to being Bonney4Nakama fans? She’s already had more face time with Luffy in five chapters than Carrot did across four different arcs; I bet some of you still have VCRs or DVD players because you just can’t let go of irrelevant shit

Carrot and Yamato both have less emotional connection to Luffy than Tama, it make way more sense for Tama to join than either of them. It makes even more sense for Tama to join if you think about how Luffy also was fed by Tama, since food is a big part of One Piece, and Luffy respects people who feed hungry people, like Sanji. Luffy also thought of Tama during his fight with Kaido, while reviving his Gear 5.

Since Luffy already accepted Tama, Momo, and Kinemon as future crew mates when we left Wano, this also indicates that Pedro would have been asked to join the crew, had he survived.

Do you see Luffy saying Yamato or Carrot's name here? Nope, you don't...

Her ending actually gives her a purpose and a role to play in the future, neither of which would have been true if she snuck onto the Thousand Sunny. You can and should want more out of the author, but considering how utterly pointless her entire character has been to all but a persistent slice of the fandom since her introduction, Oda was pretty generous to even give her that much.
