It's no coincidence that everyone understood the X on the wrist scene for 20 years, and then the second Vivi appeared for 2 panels with no other nakama options, people retconned it into a Jinbei situation saying it was "obvious all along". If Vivi was joining the crew, it would have happened 20 years ago.
