Outside of vivi I doubt they'll be anymore senior. Them being made up of only characters luffy met pre timeskip
Also yes I'm also on the vivi eating the paw fruit theory. It fits in story lore wise and out story meta wise with it finishing the devil fruit theory
Characters like Yamato, momonosuke, kinemon, carrot, Tama, and other characters I can't think of can join later as official strawhats but they won't be senior officers

yamato should have been designed as an apprentice character
younger, dumber, less emotionally mature, genki, chunibyo, tomboy, in need of mentorship, takes on an "older sister" role with momo that remains even when he gets "ripened" and is physically way older than her (although id rather momo stay small in this scenario)
maybe momo could come along too, and theyd fight as a pair
they get their asses beat by ryokugyu and decide that they arent ready to defend wano so they travel with the straw hats to get stronger and gain more experience/wisdom/knowledge, with the goal of one day becoming capable of responsibly opening the land of wano to the rest of the world
also replace her godawful divine wolf fruit with a white tiger/byakko fruit
