I know that Oden made a journey around Wano, but that doesn't mean Yamato's journey is identical to his. A parallel doesn’t mean they’re the same.
Besides, I'm not a fan of this kind of parallelism—where character A goes through scenario X, so character B should go through the same thing just because there’s a parallel between them. I think that’s flawed logic. I prefer to think based on clues and hints, and try to connect the dots and fill in the plot holes.

But that's not what happened. Jinbei stayed behind because he had business. Yamato didn't do that, she stayed behind because she didn't want to risk another monster like an admiral showing up and the Scabbards + Momo are not able to handle it.
