In this concept art, the little shipwright yields a hammer, but has the ability to float. Since there are dwarves confirmed that can fly called fairies, maybe the shipwright was going to be a dwarf. I like that the crew might add a fairy to their roster, it reminds me of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. The dwarves are as important as Fish-Men.

Edit: The dwarves can’t all fly, but they are called fairies for some reason. The shipwright is floating in the sketch, but all I know is that he’s closer to looking like a dwarf than something else.

Off-topic, but it's pretty interesting that Oda originally planned a botanist character for the crew, and Usopp gained plant-based abilities over the timeskip. Heracles, Usopp's mentor, was a botanist. Maybe Usopp's learned skills will play a bigger role than simply a new fighting style.
Noland was also a botanist

Inho he shoehorned the timeskip plot in to make up for omitting the botanist character. He also completely changed Chopper's character and gave the 'otherwise stupid' characteristic to Zoro and Luffy.

Oda already drew a whole Tontatta arc. There won't be any fairy strawhat member. The klabautermann is all we got

What is "Bolero" on the lower left corner of the Early Concept Sketch?
Hm, "Bolero" is the title of Chapter 293. Apparently, it's a Spanish dance, but it can also refer to a genre of Cuban music. And it seems even a type of hat. :choppawhat:

This is quite interesting.

Oda has shown in his concept planning that he was not adverse to moving a concept of one character to another.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolero
Bolero is a genre of song which originated in eastern Cuba in the late 19th century as part of the trova tradition. Unrelated to the older Spanish dance of the same name, bolero is characterized by sophisticated lyrics dealing with love. It has been called the "quintessential Latin American romantic song of the twentieth century".
Perhaps Oda incorporated the romantic part of bolero into Sanji's personality. And once Oda cemented Sanji, as a cook, did not use his hands to hit opponents perhaps decided to implement a part of latin martial arts in capoeira handstand kicks into Sanji's fighting style.

A bolero hat is another interesting concept.

I did not find or recall a definitive bolero hat style in One Piece. The closest I could find was Ace and Whole Cake Island attire for the wedding (Luffy, Brook, Pedro, etc.).

Their hats, however, are not flat at the top. I did see a rounded top bolero but most were flat.

Chaper 293 Bolero had some interesting tidbits that caught my attention. The Kalgura statue had more emphasis this chapter then most others. The statue was (almost) struck by lightning yet was undamaged, likely a sign to show perseverance beyond death. The statue again was shown in Chapter 299 after Enel/Eneru is defeated. The crew has a party and then leaves. Chapter 302 shows Luffy wanting a bronze statue. I do not recall if the Kalgura statue material was ever referenced but I think the fact that is when Luffy asked for a statue the first time holds significance.

Only concept left I can think of that has yet to be used by current Strawhats from bolero is it having Latin roots. What potential candidates could be connected to Latin roots by name, style, culture, etc.?

There's this

Chopper’s obsession with pirate flags lines up with Bellamy’s new job, painting pirate flags, from the cover stories.

Some people said Bellamy should be a member. There it is. Though, that helps with explaining his cover story story.

Carrot and Yamato were the last new additions I could see working, as of now I only really see Vivi joining as the honorary Straw Hat turned official 11th member. Loki could be a great ally, but I don't think he'll join the crew. He could work just fine independently, making strides for his goals then being crucial in the final war without joining Luffy's crew. Maybe Yamato hops on for the final voyage (the last section of it anyways) like Oden, but things could easily work with it just being a case of Yamato and Momonosuke aiding Luffy's crew when they need help rather than an official joining (like Carrot being leader of Zou). Plus, as far as dynamics go, Jimbei already has some issues with being shown to be an essential addition to the crew, Yamato or Carrot would just worsen such issues, Vivi is a pre-established ally with dynamics with more than half of the crew already and the rest could benefit from meeting with the most important friend the crew had pre-timeskip (they're going to learn about the X mark and a reunion seems not too far off regardless). Plus, with Vivi being targeted and in hiding, the issue of her having a nation to rule is removed since she can't do that until the leader of the World Government is dealt with hence she can easily become a member until the aftermath of the final war.

Bonney and Kuma are cool, but with the prospect of Lilith treating Kuma, and Kuma's ties to the Revolutionary Army, I wouldn't be surprised if Bonney and the crew part ways this arc. She did and is doing fine in the Law role of being a Worst Gen ally over a few arcs, but I don't think she'll officially join. She could, but why stall that when it could've been done post-Egghead?

I've never been on Team Yamato but now I really think she'll join, a cover this long story is only for someone who is going to return to the story.
Returning for EOS =/= will join the crew.

Yamato obviously has a big role to play with Momo, just as Carrot has one with Zunisha. But neither of them is nakama material.
