I think one of the best story in onepiece is about nolan and kalgara, in their story nolan showed what is true friendship, their friendship was so deep that even death didnt stop it.

but remember the time the tontatta had a statue of nolan and they see him as a hero? It was said that nolan appeard 400 years ago and save them from the bad guys. Who is this bad guys anyway? Was it cipher pols? Celestial dragons?

Anyways i think nolan showed the similar thing that he showed to kalgara. And it is friendship, nolan gladly put his life on the line to save their kingdod even tho they didnt want to, i think nolan went to the seas to become great adventurers and nolan definition of that is similar to luffy its kindness, compassion, to help, to be true and to be free.

maybe oneday the strawhats will become like nolan told their tales just like from the book of nolan the liar but the real ones who really met them only knew whats real and their friendship with this people will go beyond death. Just like how tontatta see’s nolan.

they will die freest than anyone else and live forever through the peoples heart.

To be honest i dont see any difference to luffy as a pirate and to nola as a adventurer. They preety do the same thing. They both kind and will put their lives on the line for a reason.

For me nolan is more if a pirate than a adventurer he does things like a pirate like luffy maybe you guys dont understand what im trying to say

Luffy is a terrorist who broken into Impel Down and directly responsible for level 6 criminals wrecking havoc around the world.

i see what you mean, but pirates usually sail under a black sail, noland had the symbol of his homeland on his sails.
noland was a herbalist and so was his crew, not just adventurer, he would sail around the world looking for new plant life, but the stories of the journeys that he took were considered to be an adventures by the people in his homeland.

Let me get this straight, you are saying that a non-criminal individual in One Piece that defeats a pirate will be branded a pirate because they... defeated a pirate?

Why wouldn't they just be considered a bounty hunter? Lol.
