I’ve laid out the thread for why I think Law (tiger guy) and Kidd (bull guy) are the most likely opponents for Fujitora and Ryokugyu here:

In this thread I aim to provide two simple but rarely discussed reasons that have started to make me think that admirals fights are a lot more unlikely for Zoro and Sanji than the vast majority of the community.
1) There is no explicitly established strength hierarchy among the admirals.
Everyone understands that when the strawhats go up against an enemy organization:
- Zoro fights the second strongest
- Sanji fights the third strongest
The problem here is that not only do all of the admirals have equal rank and authority, there’s strong indication and portrayal that they’re basically equal in power.
2)
In other organizations the strawhat have fought, the top two executives are clearly separated from the third executive and downwards.
Zoro and Sanji vs admirals implies that one admiral gets the short end of the stick which wouldn’t match previous portrayal.
- Jabra and Kaku are obviously much more powerful than Blueno
- Mr.1 and Mr.2 are obviously much more powerful than Mr.3
- A bit more controversial, but
I would also argue that King and Queen are obviously much stronger than Jack.
Because there’s three admirals that all have roughly equal portrayal, it seems like there would be an odd admiral out if in fact the matchups happen.
Edit:
This doesn’t fix the issue for 2) because the largest gap in the organizations the SHs face is between the second strongest executive and downwards, not the first.
Second edit:
This is incredibly sketchy given 1) statements about the Navy’s power post TS and 2) rising stakes in shonen.
Fujitora looks less impressive than the OG 3 because the SHs he faced were massively more powerful and haki changed the meta.
If a logia admiral were in Dressrosa instead of Fuji they would also look significantly less impressive than Pre TS because of haki and the Mc’s progression.
