Speculations Now, what will the Luffy vs Kaido fight in the FINAL ROUND be like?

#41
Flashbacks over flashbacks:
  • Aftermath of Kaido vs. Oden (to showcase the beginning of Kaido's PTSD)
  • Kaido vs. Ushimaru and friends (to showcase his winning cry)
  • Kaido vs. Kid's alliance (to showcase newer generations trying to take his head)
  • Kaido vs. Shanks (just for the hype)
  • Luffy delivering the supposedly final blow

Good God, this is better than anything Lolda will and can muster. :christindeed::christmwai:

Ending A is not happening, while Ending C happens only in Dragon Ball.

Ending B, though, is just :akaman::akaman::akaman::akaman::akaman:.
Dont say its better than anything Oda will muster, you'll jinx it :josad: i always believed in Oda's capability to arrange a battle like dis, proper build up and reward to that build up instead of fake tensions and empty hypes that reveal lame payoffs. Oda is just way too exhausted at this point he cant even form proper ideas of battle anymore.

If its me i'll write Luffy-Law-Zoro-Sanji-Strawhats battle sequences/rounds first as key concepts of each arc's battles, and for the rest of the battles i'll just say fuck it and make it short. No need to introduce Numbers as monsters only to reveals them as clowns. No need to spend 20 chapters fighting fodders or getting KOed for the 100th time while offpaneling Jack etc

I did not mean to jinx your prediction, but let's face it here: Lolda doesn't have what it takes to pull off something of that caliber.

His problem with writing Wano is he wanted his cake and ate it, too:

1. Wanted the Beast Pirates to be taken seriously, but made them horribly incompetent and shafted them in their own arc in favor of the Wanonese he had already invested so much for over 10 years, all the while ignoring that he did a below average job making the Wanonese interesting and had to wank a dead Wanonese to no end because of reasons.

2. Wanted people to take Cook seriously as a YC-level fighter, but also made sure Cook had no on-panel solo W and was treated like a joke for over 10 years.

3. Wanted people to take Linlin seriously, but consistently made her a Meme.

4. Wanted the raid to be taken seriously, but refused to kill anybody.

5. Wanted Luffy to be accepted as a top tier, but fodderized him against people like Apoo and rushed his PUs instead.

6. Wanted Kaido to be taken seriously, but made him Crydo instead.

And this is just off the top of my head.

Lolda forgot his strength is really when he took his character seriously.

I will use Zoro for this example: one common (and solid) criticism toward Zoro's journey to become WSS pre-Wano is that he never defeated anybody who really mattered. I believe even Oda begrudgingly acknowledged this, because he did all he could to mitigate this in Wano by having Zoro:

- Took down 3 supernovas
- Humiliated a YC2
- Murked a YC1
- Stole the show in Roof Piece
- Got Enma and ACoC

So far.

It's like Wano is Oda’s apology tour to Zoro.

Had he not done this, I can easily say he had wanted his cake and eaten it too as far as Zoro's journey to be WSS is concerned. But he knew he had to earn the cake to eat it, so we got the years of Zoro in Wano. This is why so many people are invested in what is next for Zoro in Wano, especially since the Reaper's appearance means he is not done for the arc (ZKK is upon us all).

And this sort of dedication is why Zoro vs Calli is generating more discussion than Luffy vs Kaido (despite the former appearing out of nowhere and not having a 10-year build-up): Oda earned his Zoro cake. The other cakes he wanted for free, that's why they expired prematurely.

Just my two cents.

>Luffy has the upper hand because Kaido is too exhausted.

My main issue with Oda is with SH's post time skip. When they're involved, plot armor is extended out to so many side characters. The beast pirates should be feared more, by showing us why they're beast pirates. Have some fodder fuck up kinemon wife. This would only hype up Kaido more, where luffy vs kaido tension would be high, because of how scary he is. His men should represent that. We see izo mentioned it, but oda hardly showed us anything on that.

This.

We see Teach as a threat because he killed WB, we see Akainu as a threat because he killed Ace. I feel like each Yonko (except maybe for Shanks) should have killed a named character that was alive when Luffy started his journey back in East Blue before the SHs got to meet them so we took them seriously as threats. :fullmom::kaimoji:

Imagine if Big Mom had killed Zeff and held the rest of Baratie hostage to threaten Cook. :catcry:

Imagine if Kaido had massacred Dressrosa right around the time the SHs arrived at Zou, leaving only the core SH Grand Fleet members like the Tontattas etc alive, to set an example as to what would happen if his business is interrupted for whatever reason. catded

Instead, Oda made the whole post-TS journey consequence free. :catsweat:

Death is just as important as life. You need to each other to exist. Oda has become to shy to show the gruesome reality of a pirate and or facing off against a yonko crew.

I would've taken BM a lot more serious in whole cake if she did it.

Kaido should've killed Kidd, now wouldn't that be crazy:crazwhat:

There is only one answer, OP: cocting version of Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gatling.

1. Cocting is a must
2. Barrage combo is a must, to really deplete Kaido's health in one go and ensure he can't catch a breath, thus Gatling attack needed.
3. Small arm won't cut it, so he needs a big version, thus Elephant attack needed.
4. Bonus point if he incorporate some fire ala Redhawk, as to fulfill Ace promise beating Kaido.

Now, slightly revise that technique into a new variant. Then combine it with whatever assp... awakening gomu gomu will do, then your question will be answered, OP.

luffy beats kaido into a flashback
kaido remembers his past self, goals, gets angry
powers up
overwhelms luffy potentially pushing him to his last leg
new form/mode for luffy
final round of both exchanging blows
luffy punches kaido out of onigashima into the flower capital and is recognized as the winner of the battle and a country hero .

alabasta, dr formula
same old same old.

Hopefully some fun and real epic battle, no fake tension, or figuring out something, like the
"I need to know kaido's blood type, or i will never beat him":suresure:
or maybe fake solution like the Kaido has 0 defense when his ass is holding something. :milaugh:
