4 "death" by bombing in 1120 chapter is not repetitive. Especially when the majority are not intentionnal.

Self Sacrifice is a big part of the japanese culture. Suicide Bombing is the ultimate way to do it while taking down a threat. So its logical that there is a few in One Piece were each action and situation are purpusefully exagerated.

But you need to note that in reality, Oda depicts a LOT of different heroic actions. It just happens that you remember the bombings because those are big impactfull explosions.
