Character Discussion Oda failed to make King and Queen menacing characters?

There's soo much important characters in the arc that Kaido henchman dont have much to do in the story and besides this, of all the emperors sidekicks we have seen, only Katakuri seems to be threat, Jack was back in Zou, but after Ashura kicked his ass he become more like Cracker.
Much of the complaim about this seem to be that the headcanon of some fans, expecially the Zoro/Sanji fanboys, dont happen in the manga and they become frustrated that Oda go beyond doint some shit battle shonen like Naruto.

Hmm stop talking nonesense. Luffy was getting his ass beat and laughed by Cracker before Nami and homies helped. Jack gets jumped by everybody. Commanders are never potrayed to be weak. Even Queen got up from BM assult with zero big injuries.

Kuroobi wasn't the strongest neither was he the FM. That was Hachi.

Nah its not cause Queen looks bad....(though last chap didnt help him).
Its that Queen just does not match the aethestic of a Sanji opponent. Unless he has another form that makes him slimer and faster than he wouldnt be such a useless opponent. But we know hes a Zoan user so his only other forms are Full Zoan and Hybrid. And his Full Zoan form looks fat and slow af.
Queen just doesnt suit Sanji. His boosters and flight technology will be wasted on him. Not only that....but King will be wasted on Zoro.
Like ive stated Zoro's opponents dont fight with Sanji....and vice versa, until theyve atleast got set-up with the other one.

Queen has not looked that bad at all, just because he’s goofy doesn’t mean he’s not formidable. King on the other hand feels like he has no presence in the Beast Pirates. Compare Kings presence to Katakuri’s in WCI and King looks like a background character.

The lack of threat that they seems to give is just one of the side effect of the fan wars
Remember that we go from « Zoro and Sanji are too weak to face them » at the beginning of the arc to « they are background characters » now that it seems inevitable that they will face them.
The constant bashing and downplaying that King suffered (which indirectly affected Queen) since the beginning of the arc has nothing to do with Oda but with the fans.

Sanji did get a fight in Skypiea, he couldn't get job done and jumped his opponent.
In Stephen script it was stated that he was only a commander.
I've also checked the raw and Stephen translation was the correct one
