Questions & Mysteries Oda has to explain why Shanks didn’t just stop Blackbeard. Is Blackbeard stronger than Shanks?

#1
Shanks seems to be extremely worried about what Blackbeard is plotting. A post came out earlier about him warning the Gorosei about him which is pretty obvious. He warned Whitebeard as well. My question is, why doesn’t he just go after Blackbeard?

Blackbeard isn’t hiding the entire world knows he’s on Pirate beehive. So go there and defeat him if you’re stronger.

Even more obvious, why not kill him at Marineford? Blackbeard clearly didn’t want to fight Shanks then, Whitebeard was already dead so he wouldn’t have stopped Shanks. He could have stoped the war and immediately went after BB.

Lastly, why go to Wano instead of going after BB? Greenbull wouldn’t have done anything on Wano but did considering Luffy Kidd Law Zoro and Yamato were all there. I mean they defeated Big Mom and Kaido. Luffy alone wouldn’t have washed him so they didn’t need Shanks at all. They were watching Momo fight.

I think Blackbeard will be one of the strongest if not the strongest Pirate ever. However, I think Shanks is currently stronger. So why is Shanks so busy telling on BB instead of taking action?

Blackbeard was close to Saint Shanks in power before he even ate a single Devil Fruit.

Like imagine Saint Shanks sailing across the whole ocean and begging Whitebeard to stop a Queen level opponent lmfao.

No, Saint Shanks fans have been mad about it for decades now, but the man who ran away from Akainu and shat his pants at fighting Aokiji was always stronger than Saint Shanks.

That’s doesn’t make sense because Shanks pulled up to him and BB said we aren’t ready to fight you yet. Lol that’s the perfect time to get rid of BB. The only explanation is PIS.

Blackbeard is clearly hiding something sinister about himself that Shanks knows about and fears
Agreed, but that didn’t stop Shanks from challenging him at MF. Shanks is hiding something too. He just decides to move when Luffy awakens and beats Kaido? Now he wants the One Piece? None of that makes sense.

We aren’t ready to fight you guys.

He is saying his crew wasn’t ready to fight Saint Shanks’ slaves yet. That has nothing to do with Saint Shanks vs Teach individually.

Even if that’s the case, then it’s still the best time to kill Blackbeard.
Which brings us to your thread, that Saint Shanks is scared of him. Lol

This ain’t that hard. Teach knew Saint Shanks’s slaves would stomp his crew, which he didn’t want, Saint Shanks is scared of Blackbeard and didn’t want to fight him. Which is why he sailed across the whole sea and begged Whitebeard to deal with him. And very probably why Saint Shanks now wants the Gorosei to deal with him.

I can defend Oda/Shanks until some extent...

First of all Teach for the majority of his life was under Whitebeard protection so unless Shanks wanted to become soup for Sea Kings he couldn't do shit about it.

When the events of Teach happened he did his best by warning Whitebeard since that was still not his business. Even if he went after him by himself he could probably enraged Whitebeard and BOOM! He became Sea King soup again. So only when Whitebeard dies he was allowed to go after Teach.

Why not at Marineford? Well Shanks went there to stop the war. Not to continue or to make a new one. And he had to bury Whitebeard to be sure he was dead and not risk becoming Sea King soup.

So only after Marineford he could afford go after Teach.

That said... Let's say Teach wasn't findable until he became a Yonko and established himself in Hachinosu. That gives him 1 year with Gura to become stronger with this new ability. And he got Aokiji in this mean time so his crew is solid a Yonko crew.

Just like Whitebeard couldn't afford his crew life to revenge Oden Shanks can't do the same with Teach in an all out war.

When he went to Wano to stop him. First of all it was Film Red propaganda. Second he just wanted to stop him from getting his hands on alliance (and their DFs) instead of an all out war with them.

Maybe Shanks knows that Teach DF can awaken like Lika if he died and wants go avoid that? That would be my last defense for him.

Some of these make sense but the WB burial is BS he could have left that to Marco and went after BB after stopping the war.

Marineford:
By fighting Blackbeard he’ll weaken himself and his crew too much that even if they win they can no longer act as a deterrent from the Navy killing all the pirates there.

Beehive:
Shanks knows invading an emperors territory is damn near suicide especially now that Blackbeard has a member who’d practically solo the rest of Shanks’ crew in Kuzan.

Wano:
He went to Wano trying to go after BB. He didn’t expect BB to go to Winner island instead

Solid reasoning. I’m proud of you my boy.

Then the war would continue and the dead bodies of Ace and WB would be harmed. It is his former captain child after all.
