Him not being able to defeat Lucci before the crew has to run away lead to Lucci giving intel to Mars -> the crew (and the world, because of Vegapunk message) is in danger now because of that.
He failed to neutralize the threat.

Where was the copium ? Zoro lived up to it and has done irreversible damage to lucci in one attack. He won't be up chasing them in 2 mins like he was after g5
