When I first heard he was supposedly going, it was odd because a) Oda doesn't do public appearances, rarely in Japan, let alone in another country b) Saudi Arabia does not have an official manga release for One Piece c) Oda's probably busy working on the upcoming chapters

Why I feel like this all was a promo or something to increase the fan numbers?
Overall I kinda expect that, Oda barely speak with anyone so I kinda was surprise to hear that he wanna speak in a interview.

There was no official announcement, the only news came from the Saudi YouTuber and the group linked to him.
Sadly there were probably loads of fans who paid money to travel and see Oda tomorrow.
