Controversial Oda is killing a lot more these days

He does but Kinemon survival was so bullshit it’s hard to tell when a character is supposed to die
Kinemon surviving was so bad, the fact that he survived Kaido's advanced CoC attack on the head as well as being stabbed made Kaido himself look like a joke.

Kinemon: "I was cut in half but I'm alive, I guess Law did not properly put my body back together."

Lol that was some straight up bs writing.

Oh right there is also Pound being shown alive during a cover story, imagine having a emotional chapter with Pound sacrificing himself, only for him to be revealed alive in a cover story.

I usually don't care for fake out deaths especially for random side characters, but I really hate emotional fake out deaths, if you are going to do a fake out death don't suddenly make it all sad and emotional.

Making it all sad and emotional and then revealing the character being alive just ruins that whole moment as well as the chapter.

I just noticed but Oda is killing people a lot more these days and don't just mean in flash backs

Every arc since Zou had at least one death

WCI- Pedro killed himself and I'm 60% sure Pekoms was also killed

Wano- izo, Asura Doji, Kaido, Big mom and Yasuie all died (kinemon should of died too)

Now here we are in egghead with fhe deaths of multiple vegapunks

Tho I do find it strange there's been zero reaction to Shaka getting popped in the face
Hawkins also died

Yeah, I learned to accept OP characters being almost immune to death but I still can't stand these emotional fake out, it's cheap way to create weekly drama without consquence.

Tbf it's not a new thing. Pell is prime example.
What's annoying is the redundance of this bs and it happening over and over again 1000chapters later.
Pell was a meme; Pound was cringe; Kinnemon was annoying.
