Think about it. Kaido/BM already stated many will die if Kaido drops Onigashima on the Flower Capital. If Luffy wants to avoid senseless deaths, he has to stop Kaido before hand.

Oda loves recycling shit. First, he gathers Supernova vs. Main Villain. Then, Red Hawk -> Roc.



So how long will it take for Onigashima to Flower Capital? Will it take 1 hour this time?

So either someone destroys or cuts the island before that happens and then the fight goes on in Wano.
I doubt it will take hours to be at the flower capital and the Yonko aren't going down in less than a few hours if it took Luffy more than 10 hours to get rid of Kata.

That would feel extremely redundant and sterile as a plot. Oda will never introduce the birdcage again in my opinion, extensively unlikely scenario. But I expect something scenic once again on the other hand, Oda doesn't disappoint that wise.
