Idk if true because Steven Ward is a bit of a troll, but Matt Owens, the showrunner, was previously on the Reverie stream saying that he also thought Shanks was stronger, but he likes Mihawk more as a character and in fact Mihawk, as well as Ward’s portrayal of him, was his favourite part of the live action.

Honestly idgaf if casuals think Shanks is stronger. It’s probably because muhhh yonko and they confuse Shanks for being Luffy’s end goal (he’s not lmao). What I hope they get out of the LA is a genuine interest and love for Mihawk’s character, Oda will vindicate his strength and portrayal in the end like he has with Garp and Coby.
