That’s the fucking point?? That these people after 800 years on top have begun to fully believe themselves to be gods and can do anything they want to anyone cause no one can do anything to them.
The CDs do evil acts, because they’re literally the peak of the food chain. They treat humans like livestock that they use however they need and honestly I wouldn’t be shocked if the famine in Mariejoa leads to them straight up eating their slaves.
They don’t need a reason to be evil, because they are the apex predators and human are just the prey.

Despite being attacked and scalped by Native Americans, the White colonizers still couldn't genocide all the Native Americans and the fell back to putting them on reservations. The Israel-Palestine is another example. Israelis are being attacked by Palestinians but they still can't justify genociding everyone so they keep them locked up in Gaza (basically a reservation). It's very difficult to actually get other humans to consent to genocide, even if it's in their logical interest, and in the example of the Holocaust, the Nazis lied, and didn't tell their population what they were doing. So the actions of the Celestial Dragons aren't representative of real life. Their actions are abstractions of these real world issues to the point of being Saturday morning cartoon villiany.
