Anyone else noticed that the amount of One Shot battles in One Piece has increased a lot since the Timeskip?

While not every pre Timeskip fight was high diff, and there were a lot of stomps , the number of One Shot fights in One Piece have gotten ridiculous. And instead of making characters look good, it makes the beaten characters look bad .

Dressrossa was filled with One shot finishes where too many characters look like fodder because of how they went out And it has gotten worse in WCI and Wano.

I feel Oda doesn't realise how much damage a one shot defeat can do to a character's credibility, even if that defeat is understandable it still makes them look bad.

Even characters like Mr 3 and Wapol weren't one shot

Those characters who fought in Dressrosa were fodder aside from Doflamingo. But Wholecake island and Wano are a different problem, the problem with wholecake and wano is Oda's frequent offscreening of fights, and his fetish with clashes. I don't think anybody was one shot in whole cake island....... and Kaido one shooting luffy is very accurate power scaling by Oda. Other than that nobody really got one shotted, its just the problem of Oda's inability to expand a fight and offscreening.

Pekoms,Pedro, and Bobbins weren't one shotted but they were taken care of quickly, Yuen, Raisin, Randoplh, and Opera weren't portrayed as prominent fighters in the crew and honestly none of these characters had actual fights bro...... I wouldn't even call the interactions with hese characters fights. Wholecake Island from my Understanding had only 2 fights.... Luffy vs Cracker, Luffy vs Katakuri, and then 2 extended clashes being Pedro vs Tamago and Sanji vs Judge. Thats about it when it comes to whole cake island.

Then this is why Usopp is God Usopp, he is a sniper.

Snipers are masters of one shot, then perhaps the battle with Van Auger will be like a duel and whomever one shots the enemy first will win, and we are totally aware of who will ultimately end up victorious. :)

By the way Hancock works pretty well too and so does Sugar and Law with Gamma Knife and so on, lol...

Perhaps he wants us to wait with bated breath so that we can admire the show all of a sudden and in the best possible manner... all in "One Piece".

This may sound like a joke but it's master Oda we are talking about...

I can totally see him portraying each Strawhat having an extreme difficulty fight in this very arc at long last.

Which I'm totally cool with because a lot of the ones that travel been one shot aren't even done yet. We know Kanjuro/Apoo will get back up. We know, for the most part, Orochi probably survived. The F5 and Calamities are in good positions to not be one shot considering Luffy and Yamato hit Ulti hard and Luffy only temporarily knocked put Page 1. These guys have beefy recoveries and should have entertaining fights.

I am hoping for the potential Robin v. Black Maria fight, that one seems like it could be super good
