A while back in private chat with @playa4321
I brought up Oden vs Rayleigh

As we can see, Rayleigh had high respect for Oden

But my question who gave Rayleigh his scars?
We know Rayleigh wasnt fighting the Captains, so the answers is someone who can use a sword

Oden is the only one coming in mind.
Or maybe Rayleigh fought Kata or BM and got scarred

I believe Oden gave Rayleigh the scar on his chest or eye
This will spice things up even more since Roger gave WB scars, perhaps roger also got scarred by WB.


What do you guys think? Did Oden scar Rayleigh? Or was it another person?

How roger and WB respect Oden strength and willpower

It is only logical that Rayleigh witnessed Oden and since then respected him

The are many top dogs in the old gen and we haven't come to know some of them yet. I think it's possible it was someone related to Blackbeard's father.

Rayleigh hasnt been stated fighting a top tier in the past.
Didnt battle Shiki Rocks Garp Sengoku BM WB
As far as we know so far.

If not Oden then who?
Oda has to use a character who is important to the story and relevant

People oda used to hand Scars:
Akainu > Luffy
Teach > shanks
Roger > WB
Oden > Kaido
Mihawk > Zoro

Oda wouldn't just use a random nee character at this point.
Rayleigh scars came form a blade user or a weapon that can cut ...
Only Oden that has the highest chances now.
Coz he was WB best Man.

I dont see Katakuri handing Rayleigh a scar... maybe that's how Rayleigh met an FS user

I don't know who it was but I don't see them fighting seriously against each other to the extent they will give the other a scar even when they were not in the same crew.

If he did give rayleigh that scar I'm afraid to see how he ended up.
