We know than oda has some problem with oden, but he know to read poneglyphs because he is kozuki doesn't have sense. Robin is one of the most inteligent in the worlds and she needed many time and dedication to learn to read it (and in ohara there were ancients who knew to read it). We are talking difficult language and oden who has the same intelligents than luffy or zoro can read it.
But the worst it is than kaido in 20 years he didn't find anybody (some sacerdote) who know to read it
So oden with 7 years he escaped from his home and went to fight and sleep with women he know to read poneglyphs (was the only one) while robin was reading a lot of books to learn it

unless kaido have some one from kozuki family he it's not possible for him to learn it

Dude... the scholars of Ohara had to decypher the Poneglyphs. To them, they were an ancient script that no one could read.
In Wano, passing down the knowledge on how to read the poneglyphs in the Kozuki family was a tradition. Oden learned to wrute them the same way children learn how to read/write
