According to Crunchyroll's predictions (I don't know if they are really predictions or they have information about the movie), RED will not reveal any secrets about Shanks. What they expect is that Luffy will search for Shanks and somehow will find the mysterious girl. Both Luffy and the girl have memories with Shanks..They will form a friendship and the crew will protect her.

*We can’t entirely plot out FILM RED from what we already know, but between the film’s few released details and our general understanding of One Piece films, I can still make a pretty informed stab at what I expect and hope for from the production. I would be FAR MORE mad if they showed current Shanks meeting Luffy or answering any big questions in a movie
that's just lazy and poor storytelling, betraying Manga only fans

this ... this line alone can be more than enough in hands of a capable writer

Toei Animation stated to NHK that the impact of the hack is still affecting the production of the upcoming Dragon Ball movie, and also stated that they are not sure if they can recover what they lost through the hack.
It is possible that the movie One Piece Red was affected by this hack, and it may be delayed from the previously stated date ?
