How you will react if you are a vice admiral and already dedicate a years of your life in marine and a "new guy" who have zero experience in marine got an admiral promotion?? Even Since rock and roger times something like this never been happened before

1. Childhood cartoon powers, which imo truly is the most beautifully fitting concept of power for Luffy as character. But it breaks the tension since Oda couldnt handle the Nika power depiction properly in the story, yea i agree.

3. I rather like the depiction of Seraphim tho, since it portrays the atmosphere of Marines cheating through technology to produce the perfect fighters by merging various aspects like Kizaru's laser, Lunarian hardness, Shichi members' fighting ability, inside all-obedient robot soldiers. It's fundamentally different from Edo Tensei, resurrecting dead people just a cheap shortcut for the MCs and readers to experience their powerlevel as legends of the old.

-Nika Nika no Mi, not really that bad for the DF but how was it foreshadowed ?
-Seraphins, "muh yonkou are falling like flies, let's overpower the WG with cl0oN3e sCiEncE"
-Imu, "comes outta nowhere, just sits on the throne"

Those three things are somewhat horrible narrative choices. The most horrendous part is that we're already getting used to it.


I guess Shiryu (with his invisibility) or CrossGuild will reveal Imu's existence soon

It's cool to have powerful fighters. But for now they don't even speak (no personality). And isn't "powerful cloning" another huge wink to one of those DBZ characters ? It wasn't that bad with the Germa clones because they weren't that strong, but now there are nobodies that come out of a test tube who can fight yonkous...

I hope the Seraphins aren't all equals and that this Mihawk one was the strongest. I mean, he's probably the strongest known shichibukai who doesn't have a DF.

Aramaki became an Admiral cause the Marines were smart enough to draft people from around the world rather than hope their current resources were enough, which they weren't, especially after Aokiji's departure.

Aramaki's simply much stronger than even the Admiral candidates hence he got the role without having been in the Marines prior. Oda can still give the Marine candidates and Black Horse some love if he feels like it. If not, he really doesn't care for the Vice Admirals (aside from Garp, Tsuru and Vergo in relation to their respective roles) and that's a shame. World Government's control and influence spans most of the world, makes sense the Navy would take advantage of that and recruit more.

Armaki's an expressive guy, I'll admit and is probably the least compelling of the Admirals to me so far (I still like him quite a lot and he's already a favourite of mine). Him knowing when he's outmatched and choosing to go for the recovering alliance but not the Red Haired Pirates wasn't too bad, he simply overestimated how injured the alliance was.

Seraphim are pretty cool, Vegapunk's a genius who had models of Kuma. Having models of the other Warlords as a contingency in case they get removed is pretty smart. They don't have the personalities of the Warlords and they're not clones of deceased characters so I feel like the Edo tensei comparison is a bit forced as of right now.

Nika was pretty controversial and I'm mixed on it. I'd prefer if Luffy didn't have what was billed as a fruit that was such a huge threat to the World Government but I enjoyed the Kaido fight overall.

I have no problem with seraphins since it enriches the one piece world with science as a part of big power. Not just haki and DF.

No problem with Luffy's awakening as well. The part that I don't like is that it has to be legendary fruit. If only it was just written as regular fruit then it would be good.

As for Aramaki, no admiral would be stupid enough to fight 1 wounded yonko crew and another fresh one at the same time. Even in MF with a full force of Marine, they decided to stop the war when Shanks come. I agree that its a shame for him to be written goofy like that tho.

With a manga that started off with clowns like Don Krieg, you're not complaining about Fairy Tail.. ok makes sense.

All those clown ass fights outside of Zoro vs Mr1 & Crocodile vs Luffy that happened in Alabasta, I bet you loved them all huh?
