Chapter Discussion One Piece biggest fight problem?

So now we entered Brook new flashback and it is boring as fuck. I wonder why exactly. Why instead so uninterested in this flashback. Why I wasn't with Loki's and Oden's flashback.

One possibility would be the fact we are facing power levels so high in the current time it feels impossible to get excited about the lowest class of criminals. Is like we went back to chapter 1 mountain bandits.

Another possibility could be just the time itself. We have a lot going on. We want to know how the fights will develop. We are basic at the climax of the main fights of the arc. And now out of suddenly we are being interrupted because twin towers were attacked. Like who gives a shit?

Or maybe the whole plot was just badly built. Like Nika shit. We suddenly find out there is more story of Brook to be told and it is about a character newly introduced. And everything feels so random and forced.

What you think? What is the real problem with this sudden flashback? I feel it is the power deescalation.

The issue is the timing. Like it was 70 years ago, it could have been placed in the Godvalley flashback between the start of Haralds flashback and Loki' birth.
Oda could've replaced the entire Shakky plot with the Brooke flashback.

And it's all happening while the main fights are just starting, just 12 chapters after the previous 6 month flashback ended.

Oda spent 7-8 chapters on Kuma, Ginny, and Bonney. 3 side characters, 2 of whom are dead, and the 3rd becoming an extra.

Oda's dragging things to get Luffy's entrance on a number like chapter 1200. I expect this chapter to be minimum 2 months long.

I believe we'll see Luffy face to face with Imu sooner than 1200 but there's not a lot to add if that's really what Oda wants. Dispatching the three HK and the Macguffin, Giant melodrama, and Loki vs Imu can take up 16 chapters.

There is not any problem its just you are not mature enough to appreciate good story. Instead you only care about fighting which is normal for 14 - 18 old teens or even small kids.

Oda never focuses on fight until we reach the end of the arc. He tells his story and then has 2 or 3 chapters where he focuses on Luffy's fight, 1 for Zoro and 1 for Sanji.
It's his formula post TS.

And sometimes there is no fight at all like in Zou or Egghead.

I think the issue is about set up and pay off. Like GV flashback there was the set up of rocks pirates vs roger pirates but we got only one chapter of rocks vs roger and Garp and it was an okayish fight.

Loki vs imu has been surprisingly good though.

Whatever Logiko alt
