Hawkins is underrated here imo. He just pulled a shit card in the fight against Zoro but still came out clean. He was also caught off guard by Law (his power needs set up time) and still damaged him a bit. His power will be fully shown when he eventually betrays Kaido with his crew and probably buffs Luffy and co.

When I mean WB parallel, I dont mean in personality or anything, just that he's the one pirate that stands equal to Luffy for now, out of the supernova at least.

This of course only lasts if Luffy defeats Kaido and Kid either doesn't play an instrumental role in defeating Kaido (doesn't get a final attack in with Luffy) or doesn't defeat Big Mom. If he does do either, than it would only last if Luffy/Kid decided to fight each other later on or something.

Law to me ha already lost ground in that department.

Curious though, when did he struggle against Queen? They fought?

Eh, I can't hold any weight in that moment. But Kid did give up, lose his resolve after seeing Killer. Even when Luffy saw his crew bodied in skypeia, and zoro bloodied/sleep in Thriller Bark he didn't lose faith. And legit, I do not see Kid taking down an Emperor

No matter what you say, Killer facing Kaido and Big Mom instead of facing an underling is good portrayal for him. (as long he doesn't get one shotted next chapter ofc lol)

The difference is that Blackbeard, Urouge's and Capone's pirate life hit off during the past 3 years, that's why they're the New generation, it's not age related.

Katakuri is part of the mid gen with Marco, Shanks, Doflamingo etc.

Exactly. Hawkins is extremely impressive. It was Drake who betrayed Hawkins and then made room for Law to attack him. He fought against Luffy and Zoro and was fine.
Hawkins will definitely betray Kaido and his crew. I want Hawkins to get a good fight in Wano.
