I wouldn't give credit to the age. Like no one now gives a shit whether Kaido was stronger than Luffy when he was at the same age, the important thing is how they measure up now. The thing about Sakazuki vs Oden is that we know they were active in that same era.

Oden earns his spot with Kaido because of how strong he was at the time... he wasn't strong enough then to beat the current Kaido where Akainu might but that can't really be held against him.

I agree! BUT we can look at status, wouldn't you agree?
People cannot compare Oden when he faught kaido compared to Sakazuki at the time... because Oden already explored all the world, and he already reached the end of laugh tale, and spend his journey with WB and Roger... and when he got back he was at the peak of his strength someone would argue

On the other hand, Akainu, had still TWO PROMOTIONS to go... from Vice admiral to admiral... and then from admiral to Fleet Admiral... It's quite unfair for Sakazuki

They don't understand the story. Shanks is just too important to be weaker than an unimportant character like Mihawk. There's no way Oda is going to allow that.

Who doesn’t understand the story? It’s the Zoro fans who have been saying that Zoro will be heavily involved with Kaido’s defeat, and Zoro is already wounding Kaido before Kidd and Law.

From where I’m standing, it’s Yonko fans who understand nothing about the plot and are continuously being proven wrong week after week with no end in sight lol.

The Zoro fandom has a far better understanding of the plot than Yonko fans, who said Shanks would have better Haki than Mihawk even after Mihawk was revealed to have achieved the World’s Strongest Blade and turned it black.

Shanks fans also said Shanks would have the highest bounty among Yonko, and they were only off by three of the other 4 Yonko but who’s counting lol.
