- Akainu blew half of WB's head but it didn't end the battle. Kaido hit distracted Oden once and the battle was decided.

It didn't end the battle but it would have if Akainu aimed for the middle. Whitebeard is a beast and anything short of him being dead isn't stopping him. Kaido on the other hand has crap pain tolerance. Multiple panels of his eyes rolling in the back of his head from pain

And then say:
Chapter 1001 is better than chapter 1000
