Chapter Discussion One Piece Chapter 1005 - Predictions

Disclaimer: Don't Know if this thread has been made yet. But here are my thoughts for Chapter 1005 of One Piece:

• In Chapter 1004, we have been updated with the current whereabouts of Franky, Nami, Usopp, Tama, and Sanji.
  • We may have also seen Nico Robin already, as you guys may know of that panel in 1005.
• Given that we engage in the activity of these four (or 5) strawhats, next chapter may explore Jinbei, Brook, Chopper, and continue the Sanji/Nico Robin plotline.
• I am also quite confident that Sanji will be broken free of this Black Maria plotline and will head downstairs to aid the Red Scabbards. Nico Robin will intercept Black Maria and engage in combat with her.
• This way either Sanji will get sidetracked to fight against Queen or will meet the mystery man/woman in silhouette and show his exaggerated slurp/thirst face.
• It is also possible that Tama/Usopp/Nami will go through every floor the strawhats (by happenchance are) to distribute the Kibi Dango's.
• I also believe we will be updated on what's going on with Yamato/Momo and Shinobu, and maybe even Carrot and Wanda.
  • Yamato may be up against Jack or Smoothie [if we find out the BMP have landed (this would add a layer of stakes and tension)]
    • Which also gives a shot for Brook to go up against Daifuku if not Apoo.
• All of these plotlines I expect to end in duress.
• We say this every week, but there is also a given chance the Act will end. This week I am more confident than usual, because we will conclude to what all the strawhats are up to or up against.
• I think this is the perfect chance to end the Act because we have several different things silhouetted or left open within the last 10 chapters. Such as:
  • Yamato's Devil Fruit
  • Black Maria/Sasaki/WsW Hybrid's
  • Jack/Queen/Kid Hybrid's
  • Kaido Hybrid
  • Toki/Hiyori? (Personally I believe it's Hiyori because Mothers don't live in One Piece + Oda dislikes motherly presence in OP, however, Toki is a special case, and her scar on the leg may play a role to identify her)
    • But I lean towards Hiyori because of her want, to Kill Orochi, and the existence of Ame No Habakiri

I agree on pretty much everything you said, especially Jimbe, Robin, Brook, Chopper and Sanji (again) being the focus of the next chapter
- Robin and Brook reaching 3rd floor and freeing Sanji from Black Maria (Robin matchup, don't know about Brook)
- Sanji being freed, but still not having his matchup revealed
- Jimbe fighting Who's Who (similar to Franky fighting Sasaki in this chapter
- Chopper status on the Live Floor, revealing something else in the meantime (what Marco, King, Queen, Drake are doing atm, I hope)

Hawkins will appear in the upcoming chapters when nobody expects it

I'm a Brook fan so I want him to fight someone noteworthy. And Black Maria or BMP Daifuku is suitable for me.

The main fighters of the Live Floor (Marco, King, Queen, Drake as of now, maybe Apoo, Hawkins, Sanji later) will have their chapters, I'm pretty sure of this
I think Oda is separating the scenarios the following way:
- Rooftop
- Live Floor
- Rest of the SHs, probably fighting Tobiroppo in different locations of Onigashima
- Other 'subplots' which will connect to these 3 'main plots' (Yamato, Carrot, CP0, Hyori (?)...)

Brook is still not clear
A lot of people push for him taking Jimbe's place in fighting Who's Who, but I personally hate the idea of it happening.. WW vs Brook wouldn't be a good matchup imo, especially after we know that there's an unknown background between Jimbe and WW
If Brook really takes Jimbe's place would look like Jimbe saying:
"Yeah, I've my personal reasons to fight this guy, but give me the change, Brook, cause you know... I gotta fight Jack cause he's a fishman"

I see Brook suited for fighting Perospero, after Carrot and Wanda are defeated, cause he was the most connected to Pedro between the SHs.. that would give a true meaning to 'Pedro's revenge' cause, as of now, Carrot reasons sound childish to me
Brook and Perospero already had a round too, so this would be an actual rematch
I'm not even mantioning how relevant Brook was in WCI, that alone leans on dealing with the Big Mom Pirates from my POV

Another skip chapter.

-Sanji being humiliated by Maria once again and Robin starting her rescue Sanji mission.

-Another humiliation of Flying Six losing to weak Straw Hats via plot armor.

-Evening the odds via Plot Dango.

-The shadowy figure still in the shadows because why reveal this character now if we can wait for a few more chapters.

-No Calamities.

Sounds about right?

Jinbei v WsW is literally Fish vs Cat... Maybe even CP0/Ex-Marine vs Fishman.
Wtvr it is, it involves some backstory.

Brook vs. Perospero is a Wet Dream. That would mean Brook's bounty goes to 700M or 800M after Wano. Which unfortunately I doubt.
Brook vs. Daifuku adds to the natural progression, plus he could have a 400M bounty Post Wano. I'd imagine Sanji defeats both Perospero (bc Pedro, heat is his weakness, and WCI ties) and Queen. (Believe it or not, Sanji is not weak, and I actually do have hopes for him). And I wonder how Cipher Pol ties into all of this. I Know they can't just idly stand by as the Supernova and Alliance whoop the beast Pirates ass.

I had not thought of this 1vs1 but it is a very good idea, especially because Perospero is F6 level. It would even be much more interesting than Wanda and Carrot vs Peros.

I can see the plot focused on the lower quarters depiction once again.

A nice development of the Robin/Sanji/Maria situation.

Possibly King vs Marco...

Franky vs Sasaki...

Perhaps we shall have a glimpse on Yamato too.

I hope that the rooftop fight is briefly spot once again but the odds don't look quite favourable.

Daifuku could also be a possibility, if BM Pirates really land on Onigashima, which I hope. This connects with my expectations on Sanji in this war, I see two possibilities for him:
- A more intense and exhausting record, fighting King (aka the highest autority of the enemy forces under the roof), this fits to much imo. Sanji could win this after an extreme fight, maybe with some help too, and then just collapse, is already enough for him.
Anyway I think he's the next in line for fighting King if Marco doesn't end the fight and acts neutral
- A more 'controlled' scenario: him fighting Queen (so a lil bit easier task) winning and the coming with a clutch (similar to Enies Lobby and Mr Prince) by being the 3rd flying fighter to kick the Big Mama Chanter back down the waterfall
Closing the deals with the Big Mom Pirates forever (in a similar way to Brook)

I had not thought of this 1vs1 but it is a very good idea, especially because Perospero is F6 level. It would even be much more interesting than Wanda and Carrot vs Peros.

Got a feeling Nami/Usopp will eventually run into Chopper so fights too. Maybe this happens first

I start reading One Piece manga back in 2017 because I already catch up to the anime and the story is very compelling. I love the world building and adventure type genre manga.
