The worst part about all of this for me, is that at least during the Kalifa fight Sanji had to stay there because he needed her key. But here he has no reason to just stand and let himself get beaten up, especially when he has invisibility and sky walk / turbo boosters from the raid suit, it just doesn't make sense at all.

Exactly, using the raid suit and escaping is the best and simple route for him right now. Sanji is dumb for not doing that and so is Oda. I know you'll that whatever Sanji is doing is what we take it as part of Sanji's fault and not Oda. And I get that. But what I don't get is how when we, as normal readers can figure out this simple method then so can a superhuman fighter in a fictional world. But he doesn't, which is dumb. Now, you should criticize Sanji for it but this is also bad writing. This is why I think sometimes, an author can be criticized for the actions their characters do, be it out of character actions or totally dumb ones like this one.
