I think removing one yonko is particularly tricky unless Big Mom is struck with PIS once again so the split up theory makes the most sense to me.

It would be mandatory for him to find a way to render Big Mom useless and that feels a stretch despite the well known nature of his power, so this why I was saying. It could be more likely momentary however, but the issue would remain.

To be honest, it would make more sense for them to think about trying to get rid of Big Mom and focus all on Kaido, if that's possible.

If they feel like they're fucked in a 5 vs 2, it wouldn't make much sense to be happy about splitting their numbers thin to go against the Yonko separately.
