Yes he did.
But i believe he blocked the attack because he couldn't move as fast as he could when he was more fresh.

Rooftop piece so far great for me. We see multiple attacks of the Yonkou, great strategy and also few epic moments.
You clearly see Oda enjoy to draw that battle. Usually Oda skip battles, even Doffy vs Luffy/Law haven't full fight pages as the Yonkou vs Supernova.
Chapter 1000/1001/1002/1003 where long runs, let hope we get a another long run.

Kinda Strange that Oda handle the battle of the Yonkou vs Supernova before the others get exiting,hell we didn't even see the hybrids of the flyers and Calamity xD. The fight under the ground barely start serious while above the big shit happening xD.
